Snack Bracket
BracketRemote or in person
Sixteen snacks enter. The arguing is the point.
A knockout tournament for something completely trivial. Four rounds of votes, thirty seconds of shouting before each, and a room that was silent five minutes ago now has factions. Replace the entrants with anything your organisation has opinions about.
Run this when…
The situations it was built for. If none of these is the room you have, it is probably the wrong activity.
- A flat afternoon
- The social slot at an offsite
- Any group that has gone too polite with each other
How it runs
Options pair off, the room votes, rounds narrow until one survives.
- 1You start a session and put the code on the big screen.
- 2Everyone joins on their phone — no app, no sign-up, just the code.
- 3You drive the pace from the host screen; the room answers as they go.
- 4Ending the session builds the report, with every answer in it.
Running it well
Only the host sees these. Participants never do.
- Let people argue before each vote. Skipping that turns a bracket into a slow poll.
- Localise the entrants. A snack list from the wrong country kills it instantly.
