My Life in Five Emoji
Guess whoRemote or in person
Sum up your year in emoji. The room decodes it.
Five emoji, no words. The room guesses whose life is on screen, and then the author explains — which is where the actual conversation happens. Works unusually well with a room that spans languages.
Run this when…
The situations it was built for. If none of these is the room you have, it is probably the wrong activity.
- A room spanning several first languages
- A global team together for the first time
- A kick-off that needs a light opening
How it runs
Everyone submits something in secret, then the room works out whose is whose.
- 1You start a session and put the code on the big screen.
- 2Everyone joins on their phone — no app, no sign-up, just the code.
- 3You drive the pace from the host screen; the room answers as they go.
- 4Ending the session builds the report, with every answer in it.
Running it well
Only the host sees these. Participants never do.
- Say "no words" twice. Someone always writes "graduated 🎓" and gives the whole thing away in three characters.
- The explaining afterwards is the activity. Budget more time for that than for the guessing.
Run it yourself
Free for thirty days, no card. Add it, share the code, and your room is playing in about fifteen seconds.
